Writing & Early Literacy

We provide the students with many opportunities to practice their fine motor skills needed for writing, and also learn and practice the letter sounds through songs, rhymes and finger plays. Our reading centre is stocked with high-quality children's books, which are rotated regularly with our classroom themes and the seasons. RCP participates in Scholastic's Reading Club program, where parents can order books for their family at a discounted rate.
